Who is Professor Paribus?

Kenyatta Tucker, aka Mr. Tucker, aka Theologic, aka, Professor Paribus has been working with students of all age groups for the past 20 years.  As an educator, he has taught Economics for 12 years, and AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics for the last 5 years.  Throughout the years of experimenting with various approaches to excite students  about learning economics, sometimes he was successful, and many times, he was not.  This happened to be very frustrating.  Then one day, after attending an education conference, one of the presenters, held a workshop on teachers using their “passions” as teaching tools in the classroom.  This sparked a question, “ Was it possible to make economics, “Fresh?”  This question was followed by, “Was it possible to get kids to be “geeked” about economics?”  “Could economics be used as a tool to motivate kids to be successful in their economics courses, but also, by changing their perception of education, was it possible to use economics as a motivational tool that they could use in all of their classes?”  He started by using 1 song, which became “The Basics.”  After this song, kids were intrigued.  This caused them to request more “Econ Jams.”  Once the students were engaged, another song was played.   This sparked an interest in them to want to know what the song was talking about or it confirmed what they already learned via a prior lecture or discussion.  This drove Mr. Tucker to create more songs.  Therefore, by combining his passions for economics, Hip-Hop, and academic motivation, the Cram Session was born.
